Why Wilderwoofs
Every leash is made by hand in Amsterdam with care, intention, and a whole lot of dog hair in the background. Each stitch and knot is done one at a time, giving your leash its own character. It’s not just a piece of gear. It’s a daily reminder of how much your walks together matter.
We use climbing rope for a reason. It’s strong, made to hold weight, and built to last. Paired with lightweight but tough aluminum carabiners and rust-resistant steel rings, our leashes are safe, durable, and ready for anything your dog throws at them.
Our convertible leashes use a prusik knot borrowed from the world of climbing which lets you adjust the leash easily. Wear it across your body, around your waist, or hold it in your hand. It moves when you want it to and stays put even if your dog pulls. Walks feel smoother and more in sync.

Toen ik deze voorbij zag komen dacht ik: 'deze moet ik hebben!' Mijn hond gaat namelijk in een bakfiets op hoogte en vond het altijd een gedoe om de riem te gebruiken, hierdoor zat mijn hond ook te ver naar voren soms en was ik bang dat hij er uit zou springen maar nu blijft hij goed op de plaats zitten.
Verder is de kwaliteit net zoals bij de lange hondenlijn fantastisch! Echt een aanrader

De riem ligt fijn in de hand en is van goede dikte. Je ziet dat er met liefde gemaakt is. De traffic handle is fijn, maar zou het chiller hebben gevonden als deze iets hoger had gezeten (10-15cm). Desondanks gebruik ik de traffic handle wel omdat het fijn is dat je iets kan pakken als je door bijv een menigte moet of een andere hond tegenkomt.
Verder is het heerlijk om mijn hond te kunnen laten snuffelen en dit ook handsfree te kunnen doen :)

The lead is made of high quality rope material with strong metal caribiners. I love how easy to adjust the lead is, you can make it long to give your dog freedom or loop it around yourself for more control. The short, extra handle is great for busy places

Super happy with the leash, i bought the Convertible Leash – Slim (7–8 mm Rope) for our Basset Fauve de Bretagne.
I think a video on the functionality of accessories ( like the traffic stop and sliding lock) would be helpfull, for choice and before using a first time
Might seem a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it. Amazing leash with convenient handle. Self-cleaning if light dirt. And simply looks cute :)
I absolutely love this lead! It’s soft and comfortable to hold. The quality is fantastic and you can really tell it’s made with care.
The traffic handle has been an absolute lifesaver for my dog, who loves saying hello to everyone and occasionally gets a little lost in her own world on walks. It’s so handy to have that extra bit of control.
My only problem now is that I want it in every colour! :D
Very handy when you do not want to keep saying to people not to pet your dog/puppy. It was send very quickly and looks great. Easy to attach to wherever you want.

A dutch shepherd named quake
Got this today. I typically do not buy stuff that pops up on instagram. After looling at this thing just one time too often, i checked the website and the products. I decided to buy a 2m 10mm line without the body sling, the simple one, forgot the name. So sorry about that.
Exceptional quality. I am sure the little beast will not get away.
The negatives first:
If it was rubberrized of sorts, i would order more. Sadly, i can not use it like this for work in heavy rain. This might be an exception here.
I am not a fan of the metal ring. Couldve asked to leave it off, in a note, i suppose. But i was curious.
My dutch shepherd is not a pet dog. The ring is one more thing where something might get hooked in. My fingers come to mind.
The positive:
The build quality is through the roof. Seriously, this thing is the best build dogleash ive seen sofar.
Every part seems to be build in a way, that i would trust my life with it.
You can see in the photo why i did get it. Wont open, almost certainly will not break.
This is exceptional and more importantly, the way it is sewn and stitched together is awesome.
I am using this lead to walk about in the city. The rope has a very comfortable weight to it with the 2m version not beeing too much for one hand and if that little neurotic malteser barking beasts come about, you can hold fast, dog wont be able to move away, if triggers are just somewhat too much (2yo. Dutchie,...)
It is a leash that will see heavy use.
Typically i throw out leashes three to four times a year because some of the parts seem to be on the verge of breaking.
This thing here will last my dogs life. There is no doubt about it.
It comes in a box, with a personal note.

I have yet to find a product that does it all.
This one is almost there, probably only knpv line dogs and similar be the exception, for certain things/situations.
Other than this it is a 10/10.
If i had a pet dog, that wont go at it sometimes, id probably get a 2 and 4m one and be done with it for my dogs life.

De lijnen zijn sterk en kleurrijk, maar ook licht genoeg voor onze kleine (oudere) hondjes. Uiteindelijk gekozen voor 2m lijnen omdat de hondjes de meeste tijd los lopen.
I had some trouble finding a harness that fitted propely and was comfortable for our little girl. She was in between sizes and after a quick chat with Wilderwoofs I ordered the larger one (XS instead of XXS). Thanks for the great advice. We love it!
